The Process

Every detail of our pendant is meticulously thought through. Every detail carries meaning. The simplicity of our design holds power.

We wear a necklace around our neck and the pendant sits close to our heart in the middle of our chest, close to our centre. For women, this with an 18 inch close curb chain and 20 inches for men - ensuring the chain stays close to our heart. This represents where our life experiences, where they hurt us and where we make them whole. Each day, we feel the weight of our experiences and we are strong enough to carry it with us. 

The pendant begins as a blank piece of metal, silver or gold. Polished and mounted - it lies blank and pure until the star is engraved within it. Forged with precision, the star is etched into the pendant - painstakingly created with a detail and a diligence that only life knows how to bestow on us. The star is the symbol that embellishes our life with the lessons and the memories of our experiences. As these lay close to us, only we can speak of the meaning that lies within our star. 

The stone is picked to represent a time, a place, a person or an event. It is wrapped within the star. Each stone carries its own meaning through colour, birth or month. It’s the stone and the star that shine, glittering with the meaning that they have come together to create. 

At the back of the pendant, behind the star there is a small hole behind the stone to let the light pass through - allowing the star to glimmer and any dirt to wash through. 

Whether created in silver or gold, our jewellery is handmade to last forever and worn every day. The quality of our materials and craftmanship produces an item that befits the events with which it is intended to memorialise. Our intention is to leave you with an everlasting object that is equal in weight to the journey you are capturing. 

Sterling silver and 9ct gold will last forever and they will morph as you wear them depending on you and your environment. Metal can react differently to different skin, oils and lotion - even scent. Over time your necklace will become darker and more matte. Then you may polish it to make it brighter - it will change and grow with you. 

All of our necklaces are produced by hand in England and each necklace is held and forged by three different jewellers. For this reason our necklaces are made to order and take 4 - 6 weeks to arrive at your door. 

The star is our central design. Everything else about the necklace and the pendant can be customised to best symbolise your story. You can pick the chain length, the pendant shape, the positioning of the star(s), the shape of the pendant, the quantity of stones, the types of stones and where they live on the pendant.
